Well, hello there... let me introduce myself!

Well hello there, let me introduce you to my story and my dream for Ruby Lotus...

I, like many others, absolutely hated my period! I've never felt comfortable using tampons and have always felt self-conscious wearing pads. 
It was actually during my efforts to reduce my plastic waste that I came across and started using menstrual cups 5 years ago. And let me tell you... it was a game-changer! I developed a happy and healthy relationship with my period and didn't dread that week rolling around each month.

When I fell pregnant with my first child, I actually missed my period (well, as much as you can!), but after the birth of my son, it didn't take long for my period to return and it was not at all what I remembered. It was heavy and painful and I resigned myself to the fact that I'd have to use surfboards. And so the cycle of hatred began again!

Over the past 6 months however, I have slowly transitioned myself back to my cup and I'm now appreciating what a healthy relationship with my period meant to me.

This is what has brought me here, creating Ruby Lotus Lady Cups... I want to open up the conversation around period care and offer women an alternative that truly changes your life. 
I believe that everyone deserves to have access to a reusable, chemical-free, and hygienic option that will have you loving your period just as much as I do!
